Jabber Instructions

First, download the newest version of Psi. If you already have Psi installed, please visit our upgrade instructions.

Once downloaded, double click the setup.exe file to start the installation. Click "next","I Agree", "Next" then click "Install" and "Finish".

Once the program is installed, run it. You will need to create select use existing account.

Use your current corporate email address (first.l)@aptalaska.com for the jabber ID and update the password box with your corporate email password. Make sure all 4 checkboxes below Settings are checked. When you are finished your window should look like the screenshot below.

After you have completed this, select the "Connection" tab. Here you are going to want to check the box that says "Manually Specify Host" and enter "jabber.aptalaska.com" as the hostname and set the port to 5223. Also, make sure you the dropdown menu next to "Allow Plaintext Authentication" is set to "Always". This will tell your client to send your password in plain text, but since the entire connection is encrypted, it is still secure. Your setup should look just like this:
